Rattlesnake Mountain

Hiked May 10, 2009 by Tim & Valerie

Another trip that's more about the flowers than anything else.  It was a nice day, but very cloudy and overcast.  Rattlesnake is a good training hike when you're not up in the Whites.  Once you get onto the trail, it's a long, straight hike up for about a mile.  Then, a beautiful loop over some open rocks and boulders.  Very nice!  There are great views from the boulders, but this day, we didn't take a single one.

Painted Trillium

White Baneberry or Dwarf Ginseng?  I think it's the Dwarf Ginseng.

Wood Anemone?

Pale Corydalis

Violets!
