Conditions: Beautiful day - hot and sunny. Hiked to the chimney on Mt Starr King and ate a snack. Visited with the Gray Jays for the first time. Went over to Waumbek, took a picture, ate another snack, then back. Coming down from Mt Starr King we saw a female moose eating leaves off young trees and a black-throated blue warbler (another first for our life list).
Got done in time to go back to the campsite at Moose Brook State Park and swim in the pool. Brrrr, at 58 degrees F, it'll take your breath away, but feels good on sore legs.
