Conditions: We did this hike as an "after-school special", meaning that Val took a couple hours off work on Monday and we came up to Franconia Notch looking for anything that would get us outside. It's a short walk, which we did in snowshoes, followed by a short but steep bit of climbing at the end (steep for snowshoes, anyways).
